We aim at developing a fundamental technique for deep appearance representation using computer graphics. Specifically, we plan to develop an expressive analytical model of spectral Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function (BRDF). Moreover, we plan to develop a method to estimate parameters (e.g., BRDF parameters including albedo and roughness, extinction coefficients and scattering coefficients of participating media) from images using differentiable rendering.
