D02-20 Elucidation of Individual Differences in Deep Texture Recognition Explored by Research on the Evaluation of Sensory Processing Characteristics in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders

It has been revealed that many children with autism spectrum disorders have specificity about sensory processing such as sensory hyper-sensitivity and hypo-sensitivity partly because the existence of specificity in texture recognition. It has been shown that even with the same sensory input, there is a variety of pleasant and unpleasant feelings among individuals with ASD, and that there are individual differences in the emotions received from sensory input. In this study, we will identify factors that influence individual differences in deep texture recognition in children with ASD from the relationship between visual input stimuli and emotions after stimuli presentation. The purpose of this study is to elucidate the mechanism of individual differences in deep texture recognition by targeting children with ASD who have specificity and diversity in deep texture recognition.
