D02-4 Relationship between acquisition, generation, and perception of deep Shitsukan latent in imaging devices

Midori Tanaka Chiba University

What kind of digital devices and technologies are needed to perfectly capture and accurately communicate the attractive Shitsukan?
The progress of academic research on Shitsukan has gradually clarified the mechanisms of human Shitsukan perception. In addition, advances in imaging technology are enabling more realistic, colorful, and high-definition digital images. Although the characteristics and physical structures of recent imaging devices surrounding us are diverse, the relationship between Shitsukan perception mechanisms and imaging devices has not been deeply discussed.
As a first step toward unraveling this big issue, this research tackles the previously unexplored question of the relationship between the physical structure of imaging devices, digital image signals, and deep Shitsukan perception. Specifically, by quantifying the physical structure characteristics of imaging devices that affect Shitsukan perception and conducting evaluation experiments, this research aims to scale these physical structure characteristics as Shitsukan reproduction performance.
